All Natural Homemade Outdoor Spray

I’m  sharing with you today a super quick and easy recipe to make your own homemade outdoor spray that actually works.

Simple ingredients, including the essential oils that all come in your Young Living Premium Starter Kit, will have you sailing through summer without ruining your time outdoors. Plus, this recipe only cost me $7.36 to make and that included the spray bottle. Talk about being frugal and efficient all at the same time!

Most outdoor sprays have DEET in them and that can be nasty stuff. If I don’t have to use chemical-filled sprays on my family, I certainly won’t. Here’s the easy peasy recipe!

Disclosure:  I received this product for free as part of a review and giveaway opportunity. The opinions in my review are honest and my own and I would never recommend a product I would not personally use and purchase myself.

It’s funny how a bit of time can change things.  Just over a year ago, I was probably just like a lot of busy moms, just using products that I had grown up with because I didn’t have the time or energy to research alternatives.  With health challenges in our home and the desire to find more natural ways of cleaning, eating and caring for our bodies I was thrilled with the opportunity to try Woolzies Dryer Balls. Tackling tasks in the Weekly Household Planner:

Inexpensive Homemade Cleaning Products

There is more than one way to clean a surface. You can use commercial products on the market or make some of your own.  I know I have a few favorites that I’ve been using for quite some time and just love, but lately I’ve been trying to find ways to cut more store bought items from my budget.

There has to be something wrong when you have to wear a mask to clean your bathroom. One of my kids was always complaining about the smell of cleaners and you know – he was right!  He was just not talking about the smell of the bathroom – which can certainly be BAD with three boys sharing it! Tackling this daily task in the Weekly Household Planner:

Plan/Cook Dinner

Every day is hectic and the weeks fly by. For some of you, school is back in session and your meal planning is even more critical.  You want to feed your family well, but you have no time to spend hours in the kitchen. How are you going to give your family healthy, tasty meals and avoid bringing home fast food for dinner?

Here are five suggestions for getting through a no-time-to-cook week:

Have a soup and salad or sandwich night. This can be anything from good old-fashioned tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich, to homemade lentil soup with a healthy salad of dark greens, tomato, sliced black olives and a sprinkling of cheese.

You can use soup from the can, or throw together a quick homemade recipe, or even cook up a batch on the weekend for serving during the week. I often make a double batch of soup so that I can freeze half for an easy dinner later. [Read more…]
