Stress Away Essential Oil

This blend smells like heaven, or at least what I hope heaven will smell like! Stress Away – it doesn’t get more explanatory than that! I am sure you can list about ten situations in the last week where this one would have come in handy.

Wonder how you can use Young Living Stress Away essential oil in your home? Let’s start a list:

#1: You can add 2-3 drops to your wrists for an exotic perfume.

#2: I put 5- 10 drops in Epsom salt and combine it with warm water in my bath. Simply the best!

#3: When things begin to get a bit crazy in our house, I open the lid and just smell it. The aroma is crazy good!

#4: It is a great one to put in your diffuser. I will drop a few drops into my diffuser, especially in the evening hours.

#5: I put a few drops on my wool dryer balls. I love to use dryer balls instead of toxic dryer sheets.

#6: It is perfect for occasional tension or anxiety. Either diffuse or inhale directly from the bottle or a diffuser necklace.

#7: I put it on a cotton ball and place it in my car to smell the aroma. Even when we are just doing normal errands around town. But it works even better for long car rides.

#8: This one is great to make a spray bottle mist. Just some water and some drops of oil in a glass bottle and spray as an air freshener or linen spray.

#9: You can easily massage into your feet before bed.

#10: This is my go-to gift for teachers and friends. I always have some in my stash.

Why I Love PanAway Essential Oil

Why I Love PanAway Essential Oil

The fact is this – my body is not that of a 20 year old!  I am coming up on 50 and I have loved being active most of my life, which results in some minor and occasional discomfort – and that’s where PanAway comes in to help this mama out!

What Is in PanAway Essential Oil?

There are four different essential oils in this fabulous blend:

  1. Wintergreen Essential Oil contains 85-99% of methyl salicylate – the same active ingredient as birch – and is beneficial in massage for soothing head tension and muscles after exercising.
  2. Helichrysum Essential Oil is known for its restorative properties and provides excellent support to the skin.  A great oil to diffuse when studying or doing homework, Helichrysum has a stimulating aroma that no home should be without.
  3. Clove Essential Oil is great for adding to a wellness routine. It’s also an important ingredient in Young Living’s Thieves blend. Its principal constituent is eugenol.
  4. Peppermint Essential Oil is one of the most highly regarded herbs for supporting normal digestion, including promoting healthy intestinal function and gastrointestinal system comforts.

How Do I Use PanAway Essential Oil?

  • I use it for minor muscle discomfort following exercise. I dilute one drop PanAway with 2 drops carrier oil (like grapeseed or coconut oil).
  • It is a wonderful addition to an Epsom salt bath, especially after a long day moving muscles that you may not have moved in a long time!
  • I put it topically on my forehead if I am finding some tension arising after an incredibly busy day. I dilute and rub away!
  • It is so soothing to the skin. Adding some to a palm full of coconut oil and rubbing it in feels so pleasant. The aroma is fresh and clean and the warmth on the skin is divine!
  • After a long day in heels or shoes that are not my normal Fit-Flops, rubbing some PanAway on my feet with a carrier oil is one way to relax those Big Dogs for the night.

6 Great Ways to Use Lemon Essential Oil

Let’s chat about Young Living’s Lemon Essential Oil. Its aroma will knock your socks off. You’ll be amazed at how fresh and clean it is!

There are so many great uses for Lemon essential oil. My favorite is drinking Lemon Vitality in my water. This is my favorite glass water bottle. It’s perfect for using citrus oils in your water. If you are looking for more energy, you gotta try it out!

How I Use Lemon And Lemon Vitality Essential Oil

1. I shared above that I do add it to my daily water intake. I love the refreshing taste and that it can give me a boost of energy.

2. The aroma uplifts my mind and my spirits, giving me a renewed attitude for the day. It is often one of the first ones I sniff while I am getting ready.

3. It is excellent to add to your evening wellness routine.

4. I love to add Lemon Vitality to recipes. Add a few drops of Lemon Vitality essential oil instead of lemon juice for extra kick!

5. I put a few drops on a cotton ball and place it in my car to help keep things fresh. It can get pretty nasty in there, if you know what I mean.

6. A few drops of Lemon Vitality in a mug of warm water is wonderful support for my immune system.

Staying Healthy Naturally

2012

Since I’ve been one of the first in our family to get sick this season, I thought it would be a great time to refresh myself with ways to fight off colds and flu naturally.  A lot of times, if you wait until you or someone in your family gets the flu or a cold, it’s hard to scramble to get the right treatment, and who wants to run out to the drugstore late at night?

Some prefer to go the preventative route, and have some of these things on hand before the cold or flu strikes. If you’d like to implement some home remedies this year to avoid colds and flu, here are some suggestions.

Vitamins

You have probably heard of Vitamin C for cold prevention and treatment, but have you heard of Vitamin D? We talked about the importance of Vitamin D in the Mom Mojo series, but the latest research shows that Vitamin D (particularly D3) is also important in staving off colds and flu. This may be because the lack of sunlight in the winter creates a Vitamin D deficiency, and supplements are needed to keep the immune system in top shape. You can take a D3 supplement, and/or eat foods rich in this vitamin, such as eggs, liver, salmon, and mushrooms. [Read more…]
