Chapter Six:
A few sentences that got my attention:
“I learned long ago that planning my day based on priorities rather than urgency gives me a much greater sense of peace and purpose.”
“We want to have a purpose-filled life, but somehow it just seems too difficult to take time to establish priorities, set goals, and then make the hard choices. When we don’t set and live by priorities, we establish patterns of regret.”
“God has given each of us enough time, energy, finances, and resources to accomplish what he wants us to accomplish.”
The biggie:
“The things I value most get the least amount of my time and often the lowest amount of energy and enthusiasm.”
Now it’s time for my weekly video, short and sweet. I want to share a bit of my own perspective on Priorities and what I’ve learned over the past 4 years as I try to be intentional with defining this for myself. I have posted on this topic several times in the past, you can read more on priorities if you like. If you are reading in your feedreader or inbox, you will have to click through to the blog to view the video – also, if you haven’t yet this week, you will want to in order to see my new redesign of the blog!! I hope you love it as much as I do!
Here is the book I mentioned in the Vlog – The Home Experience by Devi Titus and Marilyn Weiher. I also like this book for further reading about what priorities look like for you – The Christian Homemaker’s Handbook.
Take some time to consider these questions and feel free to comment here or on the Facebook page.
