I had the opportunity to review “Little Star” by Anthony DeStefano and illustrated by Mark Elliot. I absolutely love children’s books and always look for new reflections of stories, and this one was no disappointment.
This book was beautifully illustrated and certainly caught the eye of our 1 year old foster child and even my 14 year old who was the first to read it as soon as it came in the mail! I personally love the story of Jesus being born and honestly never tire of retelling the story. I’m always looking for Biblically based Christmas stories for my children. I am thrilled with “Little Star”, as it gives a fresh and creative perspective on the birth of Jesus and provided some insight to the origins of the Star of Bethlehem.
I found the tale heart warming and entertaining for younger children, and certainly created conversation afterwards for our older ones.
Here is a video of Pat Boone reading “Little Star” – a great way for you to hear the story yourself!
