I purchased your Weekly Household Planner on a whim in the middle of January. I have 3 children (3 years, 18 months, and 3 months), and it is easy to lose track of time and let household tasks go. I have found with this planner that I am able to tell myself, “Just do this small list and don’t worry about the rest.” It is working! The house is cleaner and I feel more capable and have actually been able to get more done during the day. With meals being planned out, I am able to feed everyone on time. I love everything about the layout – it’s so easy to understand and check off items as they are done. I also really enjoy how you include tasks that I know need to be done, but often forget or put off doing (preparing in advance for holidays/birthdays, cleaning out the car, watering the plants are a few that cross my mind).

Thank you so much for doing this for me and other moms who need help with organizing their days. I really appreciate it and I hope you never stop.

Lisa, Busy Mom of 3

I want to tell you how much I appreciate you and all your efforts to help busy moms be more effective and SANE! I sure have been struggling with the SANE part recently. Resentment has been my issue-why do I have to do this. Anyway, after watching your FREE video series, “The Opening Act”, I was prompted particularly by the one on focusing on MY behaviour and reaction/response. I learned all these tools a long time ago in a 12 step program, but after leaving that venue and focusing on my Christian walk, many of those ”tools” have been forgotten. Thank you!

First of all thank you very much for your Weekly Household Planner. I’ve been using for just over 3 weeks. I have always been totally overwhelmed by housework and besides getting the laundry & basic vacuuming done, I always ended up letting the rest slide and then spending several days non-stop whenever we were about to have guests to stay. Since I’ve started your plan our home has been visibly neater and tidier, my husband has been prompted to do a few jobs he’s put off eg: put up some coat hooks in the hall, and my daughters have started trying to do bits and pieces in their rooms to help. I always know what to do every day and never need to worry about anything else I think of, as I know it will get done soon. The best part was this weekend when my sister and her family came to visit: I didn’t need to do any extra preparation before they came like I normally would. My sister asked on arrival if she could borrow my hair dryer and I was able to send her to my bedroom knowing that it was clean and tidy and she would feel comfortable there. She saw the planner later on the fridge and asked if the difference she had noticed around the house was down to this. I said it was and she asked for your website details so she could get it too! I’ve always thought of her as much more organized, clean and tidy, so I was amazed that my home had made such an impression (after just 3 weeks) that she felt it was something she wanted to do! Thank you so much!

I just picked up my 2013 Weekly Household Planner from the printers today! I put it in a pretty binder and am looking through it. I just wanted to take a minute to send you a quick thank you!! I have always tried to be organized, and was getting close, then I got a job! Now getting anything done seems next to impossible! I love lists and keep thinking, “if I could just make myself some good lists…” which of course I never got around to! I am so looking forward to working with this planner! I really think this is just what I need to get on top of this daunting thing called life!! So thank you so very much for this wonderful list! I will let you know how it goes!!

Thank you for putting this all together, The Opening Act Free Mini-Series has me feeling very inspired and encouraged. I am a mother of six and we live a very busy life but busy sometimes because I’m unorganized . I have issues of yelling and making threats just to get my kids to listen and it does not work! I have been using the “options” from day 1 and its such a relief to have something that works and has been effective. I have a 15 month old, 3yr old, 4.5 yrs old, a 6.5 yr old, 13 yr old, 18yr old and an exchange student this year who’s 17 yrs old. The lessons I’m learning and putting into action have been wonderful! Thank you! This weekend we are sitting down and creating our list of house rules to go over with our family. This new year is going to be like no other….less yelling, more loving and a lot more organized!!!!

Thank you very much for your Weekly Household Planner! I attend a women’s ADD support group, and this tool is exactly what I have been looking for, and what has been recommended to me! I am very dependent on paper still, versus some others in the group who are more into apps. The thing that sold me was the little glasses of water on each day. You really have tried to think of everything! Can’t wait to get started on your system!

Sincerely, Paula

You are such a positive role model, I have now made you a part of my daily routine. I can’t thank you enough for all your encouragement. You are positive, motivating and humble in your confidence. Please don’t ever question what you do, God is proud of you!

Thank You, Candace

God led me to you online (somehow) one day when I was “at my wit’s end” because of my one year old. I’ve put so much of what you teach into practice in my life and things are going so much better. This was ALL GOD leading me to your website. I typed some random thing in the Google search like “tantrums of a one year old”, which I never do, and your website came up. I am forever grateful. In addition to my one year old, I have a wonderful, encouraging husband, an eleven year old, and two step children in their twenties. Things are far from perfect, but I am sowing the seeds of love!

Thank you! Sue, Mom of 4

Thank you very much for sharing this mini series (The Opening Act) with us! Personally I find them very useful and inspiring. I translated them in my language (I’m Portuguese) and wrote them in a personal journal, so I can check it and read it often.
Thank you again for your practical and wise advices and your generosity (:

All the very best, Andrea

Thank you so kindly for the useful and necessary Weekly Household Planner. It has been such a Blessing to take the thought of of “where do I begin today?” and turn it to a feeling of “ahh, finished!” after I check off my quick list. It has also been wonderful to use to delegate (chuckle). Seriously, I think that kids can get just as bored with the same old dull routine as we do so I think it’s more effective to give my children something quick & easy….and often different.

As an Army wife and mother of 6, I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for the Confident Mom Household Planner. I have tried different systems to get my housework organized and this is by far the best. I don’t have to think about anything…just follow the tasks for that day, and after a few weeks my house is a different place! I am not perfect about following it (as a matter of fact, I have slacked off in the past couple of weeks and have “back-slid” a bit. But that just proves to me how valuable the planner is to my “domestic success.”

Thank you, Sadie McCurry

As a mom who works outside the home it can be difficult to keep everything running smoothly sometimes. The tasks keep my house in order without being so many things that it is overwhelming. The Confident Mom Weekly Household Planner is realistic, detailed and easily digestible. I’ve even noticed my husband and young daughter getting into the swing of things. Thank you for this valuable tool that is keeping me sane and my house completely presentable.

I wanted to let you know that both my husband and I really benefited from “The Opening Act”. It was such a blessing to do together, and I really encourage you to branch out your advertising to “confident parenting”. For Valentine’s Day I took one of the suggestions I heard from your blog talk radio program and made our daughter a box filled with cards with all the things I appreciate and love about her. Just doing this changed ME! (It really is all about us as parents!) I just wanted to let you know how much you have helped!

It’s all kind of funny how I found The Confident Mom and came to take your Becoming a Calm, Cool and Confident Mom series. But I am so very thankful. It was perfect timing for what I needed in my life. I had fallen off course with everything that had happened over the last year and I really feel like this series has put me back on track.

I just wanted to share a success story that happened last night. It was bedtime and something really silly set my 4 year old son off into one of his MAJOR tantrums. Of all things, it was because he didn’t get to carry a pair of fingernail clippers upstairs; his sister did it instead. (I can laugh now as I write this at just how silly that sounds.)

Anyway, he was tired and not letting up and wanted me to return the clippers to the stairs for him to carry. I refused, but somehow I TRULY remained calm throughout the ordeal. It was simply incredible that the calmer I was, the more he started to calm down and finally we were able to get PJs on and sit in the rocking chair and cuddle. I just kept repeating my mantra: “I am a CALM, patient, loving mom.”

I am so thankful that I took the class and was introduced to these concepts. I’m not as consistent as I’d like to be, but everyday is a new chance to grow and become a better mom. Your feedback, encouragement, suggestions and guidance were wonderful. You have an amazing gift and I feel richer to have met you. God Bless!

Thank you for your work.

Thank you so much! I loved the Becoming a Calm, Cool and Confident Mom series – you have everything set up so nicely. I really enjoyed having the opportunity to reflect and think about my role as a parent and watching the videos. They are very impactful. My dream is to become an unflappable mom, a goal that I used to think was unattainable, and now I am beginning to see that it might actually be possible.

The positive encouragement that I received from Susan and her suggestions were not presented as mandatory, but as possibilities. It was nice to have someone respond with compassion and not judgment with regard to my son’s unique behaviors. I began to see my son’s behaviors as areas that we can work on together, not just something that he or I had to fix independently – teamwork! I have become a bit more patient with my children and take their perspectives into account more. Coaching with Susan was the best investment I could have made for my family!

My favorite part of the Becoming a Calm, Cool and Confident Mom Series was feeling like I had some one supporting me! It was great just to know that I had a coach in my corner to help me grow and become a better mom. Susan is fabulous, so supportive and she always has a great solution to my problems with the kids’ behavior. Something that I’ll be able to really apply and follow through with. It’s fantastic to have someone to be able to bounce ideas off of.
