Natural Sinus Support

Sinus support allergies

It’s that time of year, when things start to get plugged up.

This is my tried and true method for beating a sinus infection at home with supplies I keep on hand.

Breathe Again essential oil –  Peppermint, Myrtle, and Copaiba with four different types of Eucalyptus—including Eucalyptus Blue—to create a powerful punch to any breathing struggle.  I use this often, applying on my chest, across my forehead and behind my ears!

R.C. –  Another powerful blend which is made up of Spruce, Cypress, and three types of Eucalyptus oils (E. globulus, E. radiata, and E. citriodora).  I love this one in the diffusing, so I can breath it deeply in my lungs.  So good for clearing out the junk!!

Eucalyptus Radiata – Add this to your diffuser with the RC to give it a KICK, or diffuse alone.  It can be made into a chest rub as well, which is great for adults and kids.  I will also use this one in the bath tub, adding a few drops to Epsom Salt and just soak for 25 minutes or so.

Frankincense – Such a calming and regenerating oil – rub across your forehead, down your spine or back of the neck.

Thieves – Such an amazing and powerful combination of Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus Radiata, and Rosemary essential oils.  This is an exclusive oil and the original!  I will diffuse this, use in an Epsom Salt bath, or place on the bottoms of my feet.

Oregano – This is the oil that will truly give relief in this situation.  I dilute and apply on my feet – often.  Keep in mind, oils metabolize out of the body within 2 hours, so when fighting something like a Sinus Infection, you need frequent and consistent application.  Treat oil application like it is your job!!

You can also take the vitality labeled Thieves, Oregano and Frankincense in a vegetable capsule…. equal drops of each and fill with a carrier oil. Effective and so impactful for a sinus infection.

Apple Cider Vinegar – A true gem!  Raw, Apple Cider Vinegar works to detoxify your liver for better overall health and bodily functions. Also, it helps build a healthy lymphatic system that nurtures proper circulation of lymph.  In addition, the main ingredient in ACV is something called Acetic Acid which shows to prevent and stop bad bacteria from spreading in your system.  When you have a sinus infection, it’s the battle of the bacteria to keep it from spreading.  I take 1-2 teaspoons, 5-8 times a day. If you prefer to take tablets/capsules of ACV..it will work effectively as well.

Water – It’s critical to be drinking a lot of water to flush your system.  Be sure it’s pure, filtered water, so your body can use the water without having a residue of toxic ick left behind.  We have used this Berkey water filter in our home for over 2 years and have been so happy!

When you need to just soak, this recipe below is my GO TO!!!
