Tackling Tasks in the Weekly Household Planner: Using Purification® Essential Oil Blend in Your Home

I love when I find multiple ways to use products that I currently already have. Not only does this save me time, but also saves money and space. I don’t have to store different type of products to do different jobs.

Last week I had one little guy come home from preschool with some new artwork on his shirt. I was a bit irritated, as this was one of my favorite shirts, and I had little hope that I could get the felt tip ink pen out. I was bummed. But after doing a bit of looking around and checking my “oily” Facebook group that I am a member of, I tried using Young Living Purification® Essential Oil to remove the stains.

Here is what the shirt looked like in one area before I began my experiment. I decided to take a quick photo. Not the best, but you can see how it was before I tried removing the ink.

I put a few drops on the spots and rubbed it in. I did it again an hour later and then let it sit overnight in a tub of cold water. In the morning the ink seemed to be gone and I washed it as normal. I was thrilled to pull it out of the dryer looking like this!

Curious How Else You Can Use Purification® in Your Home?

• Purification® can be used to dispel odors when diffused. It helps to purify and cleanse the air from environmental impurities, including cigarette smoke, smoke from fires, mildew, and other disagreeable odors.
• Remove paint/ink from clothing – this is my top winner right now!
• Add Purification® essential oil blend to your washing machine to freshen laundry. I’ve done this every few days in my washer and I love the fresh clean smell.
• Add 15 drops of Purification® essential oil blend to a gallon of paint to mask the overwhelming chemical small. I have not tried this yet.
• Diffuse Purification essential oil blend to dispel unpleasant odors and clear the air of impurities. I had to diffuse Purification® when we moved into our beach cottage to get rid of the chemical paint, hardwood, and carpet smells.
• Add 8-10 drops in a small 4 oz spray bottle filled with water and spray to disinfect and refreshen rooms, especially after cooking with strong smelling ingredients like garlic or onions.
• Add a couple drops of Purification essential oil blend to shoes to help neutralize odors – winner!
• Add a few drops of Purification essential oil blend to a cotton ball to help eliminate stale air in any room – or place it inside your vacuum bag as you vacuum.
• Diffuse Purification essential oil blend to eliminate odors after the dog returns from playing outdoors in the rain, yes, with two big beach dogs – this is helpful!
