Healthy Popsicle Recipes

There is nothing like an ice-cold bite of a refreshing sorbet or popsicle to end a hot summer day. And when you’ve infused them with the best essential oils on the planet, you can even enjoy them guilt-free. 

I wanted to share with you a few of my family’s favorite healthy popsicle recipes with essential oils.

First up is technically not a popsicle! But we absolutely love this sorbet recipe. It has a dash of Lemon Vitality essential oil for the smoothest-ever lemon flavor!

Lemon Sorbet

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups organic evaporated cane juice crystals
  • 2 drops Lemon Vitality 
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice

Create a syrup by combining water and cane juice crystals in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook until the crystals are dissolved, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Combine syrup, Lemon Vitality, and lemon juice in a medium-sized glass or stainless steel bowl and mix until thoroughly combined. Cover and chill for two to three hours. Churn in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Cover and freeze until ready to serve.

Citrus Coconut Popsicles

Citrus Coconut Popsicles are the perfect way to cool down on those HOT summer nights! Need a mold? I love this silicone popsicle mold.

  • 1 can of full-fat coconut milk
  • 1 cup of orange juice or orange pineapple juice (get creative!!!)
  • 1/3 cup (or to taste) agave or sweetener of choice
  • 1-2 drops of Lime Vitality or Citrus Fresh Vitality essential oil 

Directions: Blend coconut milk, agave, and Lime Vitality essential oil. Pour mixture into popsicle mold, dividing evenly. Place in freezer for ten minutes; then top with juice. Freeze again for 30 minutes. Insert popsicle sticks. Continue freezing until firm.

More Healthy Popsicle Recipes

For the following healthy popsicle recipes infused with essential oils, simply place all the ingredients in a blender and mix until well combined. Pour the mixture into popsicle molds and freeze for four to six hours. 

Coconut Lavender Popsicles 

  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 T honey
  • 1-3 drops Lavender Vitality 

Strawberry Mint Popsicles

  • 3 cups strawberries
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice 
  • 1/4 cup honey 
  • 1-2 drops Peppermint Vitality 

Cherry Lime Popsicles

  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 2 cups pitted cherries
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 T honey
  • 2 drops Lime Vitality 

Lemon Berry Yogurt Popsicles 

  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2/3 cup berries
  • 1 T honey
  • 1-3 drops Lemon Vitality

NingXia Red Popsicles

  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 apple
  • 1/2 cup frozen berries
  • 1/2 cup spinach or other vegetable (optional)
  • 6 oz of NingXia Red*

Directions: Blend all the ingredients; pour into popsicle molds. I love dropping a few unblended berries into each mold to add some fun fruit texture to the popsicles. Freeze until firm. Enjoy! 

*Can be substituted for 4 oz. NingXia Red and 2 oz. orange juice.
