Garden Goddess Daily Lotion Review & Giveaway

Disclosure:  I received this product for free as part of a review and giveaway opportunity with Bookieboo, LLC. The opinions in my review are honest and my own.

When I was offered the opportunity to review a Goddess Garden Product I jumped at the chance!  If you recall, I shared my opinions on finding safer sunscreens for your family and a brand that appeared on my list was Goddess Garden!  I loved Goddess Garden Organics Sunny Body Natural Sunscreen 30, because it was easy to apply – which is one of my criteria for a good sunscreen.  If it is a pain to apply, you just won’t use it.  So when I had to chance to try another Goddess Garden product, I was excited.

I’ve shared that I have to take even more pre-cautions with sunscreen and using effective barrier methods due to my Lupus and how the sun effects me, so finding a lotion that not only is easy to apply, smells good and is mineral based is like winning the jackpot!

I had the choice between three different lotions:  Lavender Mint, Grapefruit Bergamot or Tangerine Lavender.  Being the lavender lover that I am, I chose Tangerine Lavender.

Let me share with you what I loved about Goddess Garden Organics Tangerine Lavender Daily Lotion.

PROS:

This lotion can be used daily – I put it on as I would any other lotion, right when I got out of the shower on areas that would or could be exposed to the sun.  This meant my arms, neck, chest, legs and feet.

The lotion is free from GMO’s, phthalates and Vitamin A (Not sure the problem with Vitamin A in sunscreen, read more here)

It is 91% Organic – The highest certified organic content body lotion with SPF available

It carries good SPF 15 Broad spectrum UVA/UVB coverage without the use of chemicals

The Combination of Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide content allows for sheerer coverage – you don’t look like a white ghost after you’ve applied

Water resistant up to 40 minutes, which is also nice since I am a runner and tend to be outdoors running in Seattle (sometimes rainy) and I also sweat really bad too.  {why I need a frugal homemade body wash too!}

CONS:

It is a bit more expensive than you would otherwise pay for a body lotion, but the added benefit of sunscreen just makes plain sense.  I plan to cut other areas of my budget to fit in products that will do double duty in keeping me and my family healthy and out of the Dr. office.
