I got up yesterday and was inspired……..or perhaps it was really the sneaky way The Lord uses people to sometimes ‘kick’ you in the backside to say enough is enough. In any event….. Jen over at Balancing Beauty and Bedlam offered up an invitation to join her in the 30 Day Shred. After reading her post and giveaway (she is doing a giveaway of the great Julian Michaels, 30 Day Shred DVD too, so check it out!) I decide it was time for me to get back in the game.
I am a runner, some of you may have read past posts of my running escapades, but last May I injured my Achilles tendon and have not been able to return to running. This has slowly been taking its toll on me and unfortunately my backside, which is not as small as it was 4 months ago, is really becoming a bigger issue for me! I can give excuse after excuse for not pushing through to find another workout….but we don’t have all day here. So with Jen’s invitation I felt that this was my time to join in and also have the encouragement and support of other moms on- line that are busy just like me! So I went to amazon yesterday, ordered the DVD with my Swagbucks gift card, so it was free and I will be starting TODAY, when the DVD arrives.
I am usually an avid gym girl, but lately it seems is has been so easy to not go, so I figured I would try something at home – especially since any day now we could get another call for placement and then my world gets rocked and my priority is at home caring for this new child – so having a routine I can go to at home seems to make sense.
So will you join me? You don’t have to do Jillian Michaels, pick something you want to do, maybe yoga, pilates, walking or changing something in your diet? Commit for the next 30 days and then share about your success and also when you need encouragement. I will be posting here on occasion, but the majority of the updates will be on the Mom’s Discussion Forum, so if you are not already a member (it’s free) sign up so you can share your experience too. I can’t wait to share this journey together. Come on….join me!
