fall-fun
Here are a few fun activities to do this weekend.  Sometimes by the weekend I am so tried from the week I find myself feeling rather ‘uncreative’ so hopefully one of these ideas will inspire you!

Make Popcorn Balls – I remember as a kid making popcorn balls with my mom.  Our hands would get all sticky with the marshmallows and popcorn I think we ended up eating more while making them than what we had as a finished product.  Here is a great recipe.

Take a Flashlight Walk – head out outside after the sun goes down and explore.  Make sure everyone has their own flashlight and you are bundled up.  Come back home and share what you experienced while having some hot cocoa.

Find a local craft fair – get ready for the winter season and start your Christmas shopping early by attending a craft fair. You can shop or just browse for ideas and then make your own holiday gifts.  Plus, it seems like they always have kettle corn at craft fairs, and who doesn’t love kettle corn!

Daylight Savings Sleepover – take advantage of the extra hour when the clocks get turned back and have your kids invite a friend to sleepover.  They can enjoy an extra hour of sleep!  Daylight saving’s falls on Sunday, November 7th at 2am, so set your clocks back on Saturday night!

Make Homemade Applesauce – get the family involved in peeling, coring and slicing apples up in the morning and place them in a crock pot with a few ingredients for a wonderful afternoon snack.  Here is an easy recipe for Crock Pot Applesauce.

Have a great weekend!
