Best Natural Remedies for a Bladder Infection

Natural Remedies Bladder Infection

Do you hate when you’re sidelined by a bladder infection???

I do. I don’t do well having to cut back, rest, and allow others to help me.

A few weeks ago I battled a bladder infection and wanted to share with you how I used natural remedies to get myself back to normal. As of this writing, we are traveling full time on the road, and experiencing any type of illness or issue adds a lot of stress. You are in unfamiliar places, do not have access to a clinic you may be familiar with, among other things. So my go-to natural remedies to help my body is a very comforting approach.

I carry a nice toolbox full of supplies so that even in the middle of the night I have access to items I can use immediately. I am not a doctor and my experience I am sharing here does not take the place of medical advice. Please use your own intuition and decision-making skills to determine if and when you may need medical care.

I had been having some significant abdominal and lower back pain for a day and was really trying to determine what the issue was. Honestly, I had thought I had eaten something that didn’t agree with me. I am not one who deals with bladder infections or urinary tract infections much, so it was far from my mind.

I had been using my normal essential oils for pain, lots of water, and some digestive aids, but didn’t see any improvement. When a friend suggested I may have an infection and I could grab an over-the-counter test to check, I was flabbergasted! I had no idea such a test was available. So I sent my hubby to the store to grab one like this.

I took the test and confirmed my suspicions.

This is when I can kick things into gear at a pace that will really help natural remedies to intervene and ignite the body’s ability to heal itself. It’s important to remember, when dealing with natural remedies and your body, you need to be CONSISTENT and FREQUENT!!! That will be the KEY to helping your body recover.

So what natural remedies did I use, you ask?

NingXia Red

Lots of NingXia Red—like 24 ounces a day!

NingXia Red is not only chock full of antioxidant amazingness, but it’s also infused with Lemon, Orange, Yuzu (another citrus), and Tangerine essential oils, as well as a few incredible extracts. The combination of oils synergistically work to support the body’s natural defenses, overall wellness, and more! The careful combination of fruit juices and essential oils make NingXia Red a unique nutrient-infused beverage.

LOTS of clean, pure water with Lemon Vitality essential oil in it. I also did some capsules of Lemon Vitality.

It’s one thing to add pure essential oils to your water to drink, but make sure you start with CLEAN water. We had an entire home water filter in our home and in our trailer, but while traveling in hotels, we’ve been thankful to have our Go Berkey water filter. We can easily have pure, filtered water for our consumption.

Essential Oils

I applied essential oils topically to my belly and laid with a hot compress over them to help absorption. I also used my Amethyst Biomat and wrapped my body in that like a sandwich.

The Young Living essential oils I used to help my body were Cypress, Lemon, Juniper, Copaiba, Lemongrass, and Myrrh. I layered these at different times, using one or two at a time, and applied every one to two hours. I also applied these oils to the bottom of my feet as well as my lower back.

Maybe you’ve heard about the power of cranberry for urinary tract health? Well, it’s true! I was using cranberry tablets with D-Mannose, like these, and they helped a lot. Many take these on a regular basis to help their urinary tract health.

Young Living’s Alkalime

Power-packed punch…that is what Alkalime is! Research the benefits of balanced pH! The first line of defense against disease is a proper pH balance. Disease can only grow in an acidic body, which makes a condition favorable for the growth of bacteria, yeast, fungus, mold, viruses, and any other unwanted organisms. When you have a bacteria infection, the pH is really off, so this supplement is really helpful!

Colloidal Silver

Colloidal silver is a suspension of silver particles in a liquid. It’s an ancient remedy that was once used to treat bacterial, viral, and fungal infections before modern antibiotics were developed. I use this brand as directed.

Apple Cider Vinegar

This is another powerhouse—you need this in your life!!! It’s amazing for your health. You will want to get Apple Cider Vinegar that has the mother in it, like this. I took two to three shots a day during those few days.

Young Living’s Inner Defense

Never be without this gem!!! Inner Defense™ reinforces systemic defenses, promotes healthy respiratory function, and offers immune support through potent essential oils, including Oregano, Thyme, and Thieves®.* A great item to have on hand and especially when traveling.  I took two to five per day with a full glass of water.

Young Living’s ImmuPro

ImmuPro has been specially formulated to provide exceptional immune system support when combined with a healthy lifestyle and adequate sleep to support the body’s needs.

I take one ImmuPro before bed because good sleep is critical for our bodies to heal. It’s often a forgotten piece to the puzzle.

I hit these natural remedies hard for a week and then retested and hooray…all was well with my urinary tract! No more bladder infection!

I hope you will tuck these natural remedies for a bladder infection away for when and if you need it. I am grateful for friends who share advice with me so I can be better prepared for helping my body when it’s not operating at its best.
